A delicious FTCT fundraiser at Textile Forum
This week we were back as chosen charity at Textile Forum, London’s premium fashion fabrics show, which included a very tasty fundraiser. Organised by Linda Laderman, FTCT Ambassador, visitors were asked to make a suggested £1 donation in exchange for a cup of tea or coffee and a yummy mini cupcake, sponsored by Blueberry Foods.
Visitors could not get enough of these little delights; they were flying out of our hand like, well, hot cakes (rubbish pun, we know!). Across the two day event we raised £300, which is just amazing. This will help us to fund basic school uniform for 2 children whose parents are struggling to make ends meet, or 20 performing arts therapy sessions for a child overcoming domestic abuse, a specialist laptop for a child who is profoundly deaf or a set of specialist clothing for a child with cerebral palsy. So you can see with the help of a little bit of cake, we can make a huge difference to another child’s life.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Linda Laderman, for organising this lovely fundraiser and for once again supporting FTCT as chosen charity for the show. Thank you to Sean Donoghue at M&S Marble Arch and Chris Boatswain, Blueberry Foods for very generously sponsoring the cupcakes. And finally, we could not have done it without the help of our wonderful volunteers, Deborah and Jazz who were on hand to serve refreshments throughout the two days.
