A flurry of activity with FRA students

With just two weeks to go until the Drapers Awards 2011, the FTCT office has been a beehive of activity. The awards are one of our biggest fundraising events of the year. Last year we raised £13,000, which went towards supporting FTCT grants, like Louie. This year guests will be encouraged to donate by bidding on our silent auction, or buy one of our exclusive scratch cards, to win one of our fabulous prizes.
With over 1,000 guests FTCT once again recruited a team of students from the Fashion Retail Academy, to help with selling on the night. This week we met the team and Anna gave a training session, showing students how to aproach guests and how to create a buzz around the prizes.
To ensure our team stand out from the crowd, each volunteer will be wearing an FTCT branded t-shirt and a unique butterfly fascinator, made by them, during a millinery workshop lead by FTCT Marketing Manager, Jill.We think they will look fabulous and cannot wait to see them working their magic on the night.
We would like to say a big thank you to trustee Jill Little, the haberdashery buying team at JLP, in particular Hannah Taylor and Selbach & Whiting LTD, who generously donated the hairbands and butterflies used to make each headpiece.
