The New Year brings new changes within the FTCT!

With 2015 just around the corner, no doubt many of us will be planning to start afresh in the New Year – and for us here at FTCT it’s no different!
This month, we have welcomed a new team! Taking over from previous members; Emma our Grants Co-ordinator; Sylvia, our Finance Administrator and Jillour Marketing and Communications Manager (who is currently on maternity leave). Also, we are happy to announce a newly created role of Administrative Assistant that has been filled by the wonderful Janet!
With fresh energy and new ideas in the FTCT office, we will no doubt be bringing you news of exciting developments over the coming months. But until then, we thought we would help you put ‘a face to the name’ so to speak, and let the new team introduce themselves…
Dora – Grants Coordinator
“Hello! I am very excited about joining FTCT as Grants Coordinator continuing to improve outcomes for all those we support. My background is in advice and grant management, having worked for the Citizens Advice Bureau and in social tourism. My major achievements are increasing efficiency and saving staff 30% of their time on grants assessments, and a 260% increase in breaks for vulnerable children and their families. I enjoy working directly with people we support, and together with my love of fashion and textiles I am looking forward to working with the new team to bring the charity forward.”
Janine- Marketing & Communications Manager
“Hi all! I’m Janine and I’m taking over from Jill until September 2015 as FTCT’s Marketing and Communications Manager. Originally from Nottingham, I took the leap and moved to the South East earlier this year. My background is within the public and not-for-profit sectors developing brands, while creating communication and marketing strategies. I also have experience within events coordination and PR.

Janet- Administrative Assistant
“I am Janet and I am the new Administrative Assistant here at FTCT. My background is within the fashion retail sector and I’m excited to be able to combine my industry experience with my love of fashion and children. My previous positions include House of Fraser in a buying role, and most recently worked for the Jacques Vert Group for eight years until I was made redundant. Initially I was a volunteer at FTCT, but after 5 wonderful weeks I was happy to accept the offer of employment from Anna! This is my first role within a charity and it’s been something I’ve wanted to do for a long time!”
Deirdre- Finance Administrator
“I am Deirdre and I am taking over from Sylvia as Finance Administrator. I previously worked for Santander as a senior management accountant until I left to have three wonderful children. I have now returned to the world of work, and I’m overjoyed to be doing what I love while marrying my commercial experience with the charitable sector. This is the first time I have worked for a charity, but having children of my own I felt a great affinity with the work of FTCT. I am very much looking forward to the New Year and developing my new role!”
