The charity was established by a group of textile merchants, to give financial support the children of UK fashion and textile workers.

Over the years FTCT’s work has attracted prestigious supporters including Charles Dickens- who was our Chairman of Appeal in 1856-1857- and our patron, Her Majesty the Queen.

How we help today

Today, the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust supports children in families across the UK fashion and textile industry; from retail, to manufacture, design, wholesale and beyond.

By giving financial grants for essential items including bedding and school uniform, FTCT helps hundreds of UK families every year.

We are delighted to have the generous support of our Trustees[LINK TO TRUSTEE PAGE] many of whom represent some of the biggest names on the high street, including  Marks & Spencer and Arcadia.
