An inspiring update from Vivi, 3 months on

This week, we are thrilled to bring you a heartwarming update on little Vivi, aged 7. Vivi was recently awarded a grant from FTCT to fund a programme of rehabilitation exercises, following a major operation to treat spasticity in her lower limbs, caused by Cerebral Palsy.

Before the operation Vivi was reliant on a wheelchair for mobility, but just look at her now! Vivi is really embracing her new hobbies, horse riding, dancing and swimming, which, alongside her intensive physiotherapy sessions, are helping her muscles to ‘relearn’ basic motor skills such as walking.

Vivi’s mum Helen, told FTCT, She is becoming more mobile every day and she is as determined as ever … without the operation, there was not a chance to retrain her legs to do anything as they were locked, so she had no choices about her leg movements… Thank you so much for your continued support; we could not have come so far without our friends and supporters!

We wish Vivi all the best of luck with her recovery and look forward to hearing more updates from Vivi’s dance and swimming lessons, also funded as part of her rehabilitation process.

If you know a child like Vivi, who may need our support, please contact Emma on 0300 123 9002, to find out how a grant from FTCT could make a huge difference to their life.
