The fabulous team from Auction Lots, poised and ready to approach bidders in last night’s Silent Auction.

Last night we were thrilled to be back as chosen charity for the third consecutive year, at the prestigious 2012 Drapers Fashion Awards.

Taking place at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, on Park Lane and hosted by Lauren Laverne, the event brought together the fashion trade’s biggest names recognising the best of British fashion.

It was a winning night for ASOS who was awarded Larger Etailer of the Year and Growing Retailer of the Year. Low cost retailer Primark was also a winner, having been recognised for the Larger Multiple Retailer of the Year.

The highlight of the evening came in the form of FTCT’s fabulous Silent Auction, which saw guests in a bidding frenzy to be in with a chance to win one of 50 fabulous prizes, including a 5 night stay for two in at the exclusive 5 star Desert Palm Polo resort in Dubai- sourced by Auction Lots.

The auction was a fantastic success, raising £13,035.88 for FTCT, all of which will go towards helping the children of those working in the UK fashion and textile industry. Children like little Martha, aged 6yrs…

It was a huge honour for FTCT to be chosen by Caroline Nodder and the team at Drapers magazine, who are already huge supporters of FTCT, helping to raise awareness of our grants which are available to families working in UK fashion and textiles, through regular press features and adverts in the magazine.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who bid in last night’s auction and to the Drapers team for giving our charity the opportunity to continue to raise awareness of the grants we can give to support families working in our industry.
