British Bridal Exhibition Harrogate; back in town!

Hello, it’s Anna here! As Jill is out of the office today, I thought I’d sneek in and ‘guest blog’ in her absence! As the chosen charity for BBEH (9 – 11 September) for the second time this year, FTCT was out and about talking to nearly 100 exhibitors on their individual stands about the support that can be given to the children of their employees. It was great to see lots of familiar faces from Heading Up, Richard Designs, Crystal Breeze, Taneisha Jordan, Veromia, Amanda Wyatt and new faces, too; Craig Carson, Scottish Wedding Directory, Erica Stacey, Freed of London, Justine Miller and Kobus Dipenaar. Our famous FTCT button badge was out in force and was spotted everywhere; on a security guard, all the lovely team from Jupiter Events and even on the back of a designer shoe!

Joy and Anne, our FTCT volunteers

We were also thrilled that Joy and Anne, whose children we support, were able to join us as our fabulous FTCT volunteers, (Fingers crossed, they’ll be joining us again next March!). Also, a great big enormous thank you to Maggi, Jupiter Events, who didn’t let a visitor pass her by, without them emptying their pockets, wallets and purses into the FTCT donation pot! This event really gives FTCT a brilliant opportunity to meet with those that work in the bridal industry. We are also thrilled that we raised £605.40, all of which will go towards helping the children of their employees. Finally, we are indebted to Wendy Adams and Rachel Hall from British Bridal Buyer for welcoming us back for this wonderful show – thank you, both! We’re already looking forward to 10 – 12 March 2013…
