Today, we bid a fond farewell to our Finance Administrator, Sylvia, who is retiring just in time for Christmas. Sylvia joined FTCT in December 2011, and has helped us through many transformations, supporting the activities of the charity and the families we help. She is being replaced by new member of the FTCT family, Deirdre (who we introduced in last week’s blog).
Treating ourselves to a pub lunch to celebrate Sylvia’s time at FTCT, we enjoyed homemade pies while showering her with gifts to show our appreciation for all her hard work and wonderful energy she has brought to the team over the years.
We are all very sad to see Sylvia go, but we take solace in the fact that she is moving on to pursue her passion. A qualified Reiki practitioner and volunteer at a local animal sanctuary, she will be utilizing her skills to heal animals in need.
FTCT Director, Anna Pangbourne, said: “Sylvia has been such a key member of the FTCT team, not just for all of us but for the Finance Committee and all of our parents and carers, too. We will all really miss her hugely, but wish her great happiness in her retirement. Thank you so much, Sylvia – you’ve been amazing”
We all wish her the best for the future and we look forward to hearing what she has been up to in the New Year.
As for us as FTCT, we will soon break up for Christmas! So as this is the final post of 2014, we also bid you a fond farewell and very merry Christmas!
