It was a wet, yet wonderful, Sunday morning for the thousands of red-suited St Nicks’ who gathered at Victoria Park for this year’s Santa Run.Blog pic 1

Alongside 250 fellow charities, our team of dedicated Santa’s braved the weather to raise money to help children of parents in the UK fashion and textile industry.

For our charity, support came from well-known names in the trade including FTCT trustees Meg Lustman, CEO of Hobbs and Chair of FTCT; Andy Ware, CFO of Karen Millen (with Charlie the Dog as his sidekick); Dave Shepherd, COO of Trading, Arcadia; Vanessa Green, MD of CVUK. Also ‘team Topman’ and Darren Kirwin, Director of the Fashion Retail Academy (FRA), alongside a team of sprightly students.

With energy and boundless enthusiasm driving them towards the finish line, we have collectively raised over £8,190 so far!

Anna Pangbourne, FTCT Director, said: “It was fantastic to see so many of our Santa’s running to help raise money for FTCT. It is especially great to see people from the industry take time out to support others within the industry.

“I must give a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who gave up their Sunday morning lie-in to help!”

Although the Santa Run is our final fundraiser for 2014, we are already planning for the coming year. We will be out in full force for the London Marathon, as well as, participating in the Superhero Run in May ’15; dressed to impress as our favourite kick-ass heroes (or villains – mwah hah hah!).

We are always on the lookout for new fundraising teams! So save the date (Sun 6th Dec 2015!), get involved and email anna@ftct.org.uk to find out more!
