Fishing for FTCT …

Over the last few months, we’ve been asking all of our Trustees to name their favourite interests and come up with a way of turning it into a new fundraising activity for FTCT. As a keen fly fisherman, our Chair, David Carter-Johnson nominated FTCT to be the chosen charity for the Craig Vidler fishing day.
A long standing annual event, (24 years), the fishing day at Dever Springs, Hampshire took place today. A special prize auction took place, (with Toastmaster Richard Birtchnell), raising an amazing £8,180! A huge thanks to Craig and wife Marjorie for accepting David’s nomination and for all your hard work today to make this possible. To all our guests, Luke Clothing and other sponsors, too, for the generous gifts you donated.
Events like these mean so much to our charity. Not only do they help raise vital funds for FTCT, but they are a great way of raising awareness of the support we can give, to a new audience.
Perhaps you could help FTCT by turning your favourite hobby into a fundraiser for our charity? Whether it’s a cake sale at work, a charity golf day or taking part in our festive 5K Santa Run this year, we would love to hear how you can help us raise funds for the children of people working in the UK fashion and textile industry.
