Free stuff to do with the kids this bank holiday

Bank holidays provide a great opportunity to get away with the kids for a few days and make the most of some quality family time.
But with many households sticking closely to tight budgets, we wanted to show you how you can have fun with the family, without breaking the bank.
Here are some fun and FREE activities for you to try:
• Take a trip to the local park. The British weather can be unpredictable to say the least, but with blue sky forecast for Sunday, why not pack a picnic hamper, a few games and an umbrella (just in case) and head to the nearest green space. You shouldn’t need to spend any money-apart from if the ice-cream van turns up-and the games alone are likely to keep the kids entertained for hours.
• Visit a free museum or gallery. Here in the UK, we have a rich and varied museums to enjoy. Whether it’s a science museum or a modern art exhibition, many of these attractions don’t charge for admission and can be educational as well as exciting.
• Host your own quiz night. Don’t let the wet weather dampen your fun. Why not invite a bunch of family friends over for a quiz night. The kids can get involved with planning the questions and could even play quizmaster on the night. Why not add a competitive edge, by organising prizes for the winning team and forfeits for the losing team too. A night to remember for all the family, guaranteed!
Whatever you choose to do over the holidays, with a little bit of creativity you can have a great time without splashing the cash.
