FTCT makes tracks up to Leicester ….

Not even the recent heavy snowfall could stop a visit to Leicester last week, to meet with Frank, Rachel and Sam from Leicester Charity Link. Each year LCL helps 5,000 local people who are experiencing poverty and hardship and as an area that used to have a number of hosiery manufacturing companies, our charity is able to support children whose parents used to work in these and other related textile industries. Then on to meet Netsai, at Child Services. Netsai called FTCT recently as we had supported a case two years ago – great to meet her colleagues and a chance to hand out our brand new brochure / poster, too. Finally, on to Boden to meet with warehouse and call centre employee reps; the first official FTCT presentation to a company – feels great! Two hours after the presentation we received a call back at the office; a tiny step but a successful step. More presentations next week – can’t wait ….
