Forging links with other charities and support organisations who may be able to spread the word about FTCT among their clients, is a really important part of the FTCT Outreach Campaign. That’s why today Anna and I were thrilled to have the opportunity to meet Delyth Evans, Executive Director of the charity Dress for Success, to find out about the work they do and to discuss ways in which our two organisations can work together, to help families within the industry.
Dress for Success helps women on low incomes get back to work by dressing them in a complete outfit of smart clothes to wear to their interview and by giving them one-to-one interview training.
Many of Dress for Success’ clients have been out of work for more than a year, and 45% are single parents. We hope, as a result of today’s meeting, it will be possible for information about FTCT and the support we can give, (among clients with an industry connection), who are perhaps struggling to support the needs of their child. Likewise, we feel that Dress for Success could be relevant for any of our London based parents or carers, who are currently looking for work.
