FTCT raise 4k at the Drapers Digital Awards
Last Thursday, the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust was honoured to be the chosen charity at the Drapers Digital Awards, held at Grosvenor House Hotel, London. Over 400 guests attended including big-name brands such as Primark, Topshop, Harrods, NEXT and House of Fraser.
FTCT and our team of wonderful volunteers from the Fashion Retail Academy (FRA) were there to help raise the profile of our charity while offering the guests a chance to win a luxury weekend away at Babington House for a small donation of £10. Also, one person from each table won a bottle of champagne, kindly sourced by Ryan Becker, FTCT trustee and head of presentation for M&S.
Eric Musgrave, Drapers Editorial Director, introduced our charity in his address and encouraged the audience to participate – and boy, did they! We raised just over £4,000 in total, that all will go directly to children and young people whose parent or carers work in the industry.
FTCT Director, Anna Pangbourne said: “It’s the first time FTCT has attended the Drapers Digital Awards, and we are so honoured to now be the chosen charity at a trio of Drapers award events throughout the year. We had a fantastic response from the guests on the night and I’d like to thank everyone who donated to the charity and thank our wonderful FRA volunteers.”
