FTCT raises £3,500 at the Drapers Independents Awards
On Wednesday, FTCT were thrilled to be back at the Drapers Independents Awards as the chosen charity.
The awards celebrate the best of independent fashion retail across the UK, with winners this year including A Hume, Collectif and Barbour. The lifetime achievement award went to Rita Britton, founder of Polyanna, who made a very emotional speech which had most of the room in tears!
FTCT’s £10 prize win was a great success, with someone on every table winning a prize. The iPad Air went to the Gant table and our fabulous Little Black Jacket book went, rather fittingly, to Rita Britton.
FTCT welcomed eight volunteers from the Fashion Retail Academy to help with fundraising and raising awareness of our charity. The students were their usual fantastic, smiley selves and all the guests commented on how they loved their button headdresses!
We raised an amazing total of £3,500 which will all go towards helping vulnerable children whose parents work in the UK fashion and textile industry. Thanks once again to Eric and the whole team at Drapers for their continued support and congratulations on a fantastic event. You can see more photos from the event here.
