We were thrilledLouie 1 small to be able to visit a grant beneficiary this week. Louie, 3 years old, was born with a hearing impairment which meant he might never be able to speak. An FTCT grant enabled Louie to attend specialist Auditory Verbal therapy in Oxford and he has made incredible progress. Recently tested he has been told that his speaking ability is two years above his age!

Becky, Louie’s Mum (who used to work at Next)Shearer thank you small and Jim (Louie’s Dad), told FTCT that the grant has made a huge difference to all of their lives. Jim is going to start fundraising for FTCT soon and has lots of different events planned; keep an eye out for them!

Next week, Louie will be starting mainstream school with his big brother (pictured) which is a huge achievement. FTCT is extremely proud of Louie for the progress he’s made – good luck for next week Louie, you’re a star!
