Hobbs to host FTCT Charity Week this October!

We are very excited to announce that high street fashion retailer, Hobbs, have named FTCT as the sole beneficiary for this October’s Hobbs Charity Week! This is the very first fundraising week that we have ever done with a fashion retail company, so we can’t wait to get started!

This nationwide event will see staff from Hobbs stores across the UK, take part in a whole host of fun, creative and inspiring activities, raising vital funds for FTCT.

In preparation for this October, Anna has been in to the Hobbs head office this week to meet with 140 of Hobbs’ store managers, to tell them about the help FTCT can give to the children of those that work in the UK fashion and textile industry. This was also a great opportunity to get creative juices flowing, giving store managers ideas on how each store can create their own unique fundraising activities. (Note from Anna: Think there might be a little bit of store rivalry brewing!). Posters and button badges were given out to all and FTCT donation pots and FTCT t-shirts will be made available during the week, too.

We can’t wait to see what ideas stores come up with and are really looking forward to this October when Hobbs stores across the country will be buzzing with FTCT fundraising fun! It’s hoped that we will be able to raise £10,000, which would enable FTCT to give financial support to between 15 – 20 children. This really will make a huge difference …

Infact the team  were so keen to get going, they started raising money there and then, by making donations totaling £53.94 during Thursday’s meeting!

Keep an eye on the FTCT Facebook and Twitter pages for photos and updates from Hobbs stores throughout the week. Plus, don’t forget to sign up to the FTCT quarterly e-newsletter for all FTCT news.

Finally, a huge thank you to Amit Chowdhury, FTCT Trustee and also Rachel Bowman, Retail Services Manager, Hobbs – you’re both super stars and thank you for all your help in getting this event up and running!
