Inspirational speakers capture audience at FTCT Business Breakfast

Today, Anna Pangbourne, FTCT Director, welcomed representatives from more than 40 top UK fashion companies, to our bi-annual FTCT Business Breakfast.

Anna gave an overview of FTCT and the ways in which companies are already supporting our Outreach Campaign, before welcoming Fatimah, (pictured), mother of Yasmine 9 yrs, FTCT beneficiary. Fatimah told  her inspirational story of courage and triumph and her fight to bring stability back to her daughter’s life. FTCT debate host, Tim Danaher followed, noting, “how aptly Fatimah’s speech showed the great work FTCT do and why it is such a fantastic cause”

The Q&A session followed; Peter Ruis, John Lewis Partnership and Amanda Seabourne, Damsel In A Dress, discussed a variety of topics including the importance of staying true to your brand.

As the event came to a close, Fatimah was congratulated by FTCT trustees and guests for her,”moving” and “inspirational” speech. Each guest then took away a special ‘story card’, which we hope will serve as a small reminder of the support FTCT can give to the children of their employees or colleagues within the industry.

We would like to say a big thank you to all our guests for making this our best FTCT Business Breakfast yet. In particular, we would like to thank our guest speakers, Peter, Amanda, Tim and to our sponsor, Accenture. Also, a huge thank you to Fatimah, for her strength and courage in telling her story this morning.
