Kids inspired by Rio? Find FREE sport trials in your area

The Rio Olympics may be over, but if your kids were inspired by Team GB’s amazing sporting achievements, here’s how they can get involved for FREE and discover a new sporting passion.

The Royal Yacht Association are running free sailing sessions at many of their centres across the UK. Find out where your nearest centre is and give it a go yourself. More details can be found on the RYA website>

Try Taekwondo     martial-83009_1280

Use the British Taekwondo Find a Club search tool to find a local club offering a FREE session to let your little one try it out. More details can be found on the British Taekwondo website>


The British Athletics Association a  number of flagship tracks-1182233_1280grassroot organisations across the UK, including: Startrack  aimed at eight to 15 year olds, providing year-round coaching and training opportunities after school, during holiday periods and at weekends.  Sportshall athletics also giving youngsters an enjoyable way to try running, jumping and throwing activities as they take their first step into athletics. Or why not try a local parkrun. Parkrun organise free weekly runs (both junior and senior) all across the UK and are open to people of all ages and abilities.
