Luke Golf Day 2014 Raises £1,375 for FTCT
Last Friday we were delighted to be back at the annual Luke Roper Golf Day, as the chosen charity. This year, the event was held at the Welcombe Hotel and Golf Club and the whole team at Luke 1977 once again put on a fantastic event. Celebrities, customers and friends alike came down to support the day, which saw an amazing £1,375 being raised for FTCT!
Every guest paid £10 on entrance and extra funds were raised from games, including our charity challenge ‘Putting Hole in One’ competition, won by Jane who had never even played golf before! Beginner’s luck, perhaps? Jane generously donated her prize champagne back to Luke 1977 for auction, raising a further £150 for FTCT.
Last year’s fundraising total was £1,000 and we’re thrilled to have beaten it this year with the help of everyone at Luke 1977. Every single penny of the £1,375 raised, will go directly towards supporting children of employees in UK companies, like Luke 1977, across all aspects of the fashion and textile industry.
A huge thank you to the whole team at Luke 1977 for organising such a fantastic event and a special thank you to Luke Roper and Simon and Debs Poole for all of their support, involving FTCT as chosen charity for the event.
A special mention also to David Carter-Johnson, FTCT Trustee, for setting up our partnership with Luke three years ago and also Martin at Say More PR and Kate Field for all their hard work organising the day!
