Meet FTCT’s new volunteers

We are delighted to welcome two brand new FTCT Volunteersvolunteers to the FTCT team. Suzanne and Sabit (pictured left) will be helping out every Friday for the next few months.

Sabit, who is training to be an accountant, will be supporting Sylvia, FTCT’s finance administrator with her duties, while Suzanne, who recently relocated from Canada, will be using her professional experience to support Jill, FTCT’s marketing and comms manager.

Volunteers like Suzanne and Sabit are a vital part of our charity. Their passion, enthusiasm and time, enables us to raise the profile of our charity and continue to make a life changing difference to many vulnerable children across the UK.

But it’s not all about us! Let’s hear why the guys have chosen to get involved with FTCT.

So why did you choose to volunteer with FTCT?
Suzanne: My grandparents owned a chain of childrenswear stores back in Canada and my uncle owned his own clothing label in the eighties, so I felt drawn to the charity.

Sabit: I used to work in retail at Next and Matalan, so was instantly caught by the unique nature of the charity.

What are you hoping to gain from volunteering with FTCT?

Suzanne: To gain more skills in online marketing and social media, while helping out such a great cause.

Sabit: To gain practical experience of the theory I am learning on my course, as well as to make new friends and spend my time helping a small charity.

And a silly icebreaker questions, if you could have one super power, what would it be?

Suzanne: Oh definitely to be able to fly!

Sabit: To diminish world poverty.

We are really looking forward to having Suzanne and Sabit on the FTCT volunteering team and hope you will join us in welcoming them too!
