Meet Vanessa Green FTCT Trustee…

Last week, new Trustee, Vanessa Green (Managing Director, CVUK) popped into FTCT offices, to spend the afternoon with the team. As a new addition to the team, Vanessa was keen to find out more about daily life here at FTCT HQ and what her role on the cases committee will involve. We grabbed the opportunity to ask her how it feels to be an FTCT Trustee and why she chose to get involved with our charity. Take it away Vanessa…
What inspired you to become an FTCT Trustee?
A number of things inspired me to become a trustee, first I had been involved in the charity whether it was through sponsorship or at one of the breakfasts. Secondly it is less known, more of a boutique style charity that cares as it’s personal. Finally, I have children and believe that every child should have a childhood and a charity that makes this happen is a worthwhile cause.
What do you think makes FTCT unique?
Its size, the fact that it is not massive means that every case has a personal touch, there is a voice at the end of the phone.
Why do you think it is important for the industry to support FTCT?
If an employee has helped support a retail or fashion business it’s a good thing to give back and help someone when they most need it.
What one thing would you say to anyone out there in the industry who is thinking of getting involved with FTCT?
Get in touch with the team.
And a final ice-breaker question, name your favourite Disney character…
Mickey of course!
