Just over 48 hours ago, Mike Trotman, FTCT Trustee and CFO TM Lewin completed the gruelling 100K London2Brighton Challenge to raise money for our charity. Setting off at 9.00 a.m from Richmond, Mike walked non-stop through the day and night, with over 2,000 other walkers from other charities, arriving in Brighton 31 hours later. Mike told FTCT: “I’ve never done anything like this. It was a truly enormous mental battle and the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but I’ve done it!”
Despite blistered feet, taken care of by St.John Ambulance, Mike ‘pushed through the wall’ to cross the finishing line. So far, Mike has raised a fantastic £2,350. Update Friday 29 May: Mike has now raised over £4,500 – and donations still coming in. Amazing!
