Staggering reports in this week’s papers show that more than half-a-million people are going hungry in Britain – with more and more families relying on foodbanks, to stave off hunger.

The recent figures, backed by Oxfam, show that families are struggling to feed themselves as unemployment, rising food prices, utility bills and, in particular, benefit cutbacks bite hard.

These reports are a stark reminder of the huge financial pressures facing UK families, with rising costs impacting on those both in and out of employment.

FTCT welfare grants start at £150 and can provide funding for basic childhood items, such as clothing, bedding and footwear, freeing up income for vital necessities, food and drink.

If you or someone you know is struggling to make ends meet, please get in touch. A small grant from FTCT could make a huge difference to a child’s life.
