Pure London raises £1,545 for FTCT.
Last weekend we were delighted to be chosen charity at Pure London, the UK’s favourite fashion trade show, for the forth consecutive time. Our aim was to raise awareness of FTCT among thousands of visitors and exhibitors at the show and boy did we succeed. With the help of our wonderful team of volunteers including, Deborah, Sutkije, Jazz, Marsha, Emily, Nika, Sawsan and FTCT Trustee, Amit Chowdhury, we made sure no one left the show without hearing about our grants, available to both themselves and their employees. Plus, thanks to the team at Pure London, we raised a whopping £1,545 through visitor donations.
Trade Shows like Pure London offer a unique opportunity for us to meet face to face with families working in the fashion and textile industry and can often lead to applications being made as a direct result. Like little Vivi, aged 7yrs, who recently received funding after her mum met us at Pure London’s August show.
Of course none of this would have been made possible without the invaluable support of Judith, Sam and the whole team at Pure London, to whom we say a huge thank you!
We would also like to say a very special thanks to volunteer Martyn, dad of Jasmine one of our FTCT kids, who was an absolute superstar. Not only did Martyn transport us and all our FTCT goodies to the FTCT stand, but he also gave up his time to fundraise with us at the show too. What a star!
