Winning support from the UKFT

This week we attended the UKFT Export Awards. UKFT are an umbrella organisation which represents the fashion and textile sector both domestically and overseas. They have been heavily involved with FTCT since our relaunch last year and once again showed their support by naming us as the official charity partner for the awards.

Hosted in central London, the award ceremony brought together representatives from top UK Fashion and Textile retailers, manufacturers and press organisations, to celebrate British companies excelling in Export. Also in attendance were high profile guests including ‘Dragons Den’ Deborah Meaden and President of UKFT, HRH The Princess Royal, Winners on the day included, Karl DonoghueJohnstons of Elgin, Mary KatrantzouButterfly Twists, Boxfresh, Alex Begg & Company and ASOS.

It was a huge honor for the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust to have been named the official charity partner at this event. Being included in high profile industry events such as this are so important for our Outreach campaign. It gives us the opportunity to meet the decision makers of more than 60 UK Fashion and Textile companies at one time, bringing us one step closer to reaching those who need our help.

We are looking forward to following up with all the people we met at the awards and will keep you all informed here on what happens next. A big thanks to Ian Macauly Photography, for all the wonderful images.
