Do you work in fashion and textiles? The answer may surprise you! There are hundreds of job roles connected to fashion and textiles, some more obscure than others! At the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust we provide grants towards essential family costs for people who work, or have previously worked in the industry. So if you are a parent or carer of a child aged 0-18years and work in the industry, you could apply. Our service covers various sectors including swimwear, bridal wear, footwear, technical clothing, soft furnishings, laundries, tailoring, tanning and more – so if you work with fabric, fashion or leather goods, we may be able to work with you! We accept applications from employees at a wide range of SME’s as well as major fashion retailers including M&S, Hobbs, and John Lewis, and supermarkets that sell clothing including Sainsbury’s, Asda and Tesco. We can even accept applications from freelancers too. Whether you’re ‘hands on’ such as a weaver, upholsterer, packer or designer for example, or you work at the head office as a merchandiser or administrator - it doesn’t matter; as long as your occupation is within fashion and textile industry, you may be eligible to apply for one of our grants.
