Parallel London – A fun run for disabled and able-bodied children and adults

The fantastic Parallel London event returns for its second year – at the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

It’s an event open to children, parents and supporters whether disabled or able-bodied of all abilities and ages. Run it, walk it, push it or be pushed. ANYTHING GOES! You can take part in events ranging from 100 metres to 10km. You can use mobility aids and if extra support is needed for disabled participants, they can bring a ‘buddy’ to accompany them around the course for free. At Parallel London events, everyone can run together, side by side.

There is the unique Super Sensory 1km course. This is ideal for individuals with multiple needs, those on the autistic spectrum or anyone who engages with the world in a sensory way. Look on Parallel’s website for lots more information.

We’d love you to try and raise £100 (per child and adult). The money that’s donated will go towards supporting children whose parent work in the fashion and textile industry. FTCT grants have already helped hundreds of children – of all abilities. You can read about some of the ways FTCT grants have helped families.

If you would like to take part, you’ll need book your charity places with us in advance.

  • Entry cost is £25 plus VAT – children under five are free (when running alongside a participating adult)
  • Or £50 for two adults and up to three children.
  • You will need to raise a minimum of £100 to help support FTCT grants.
