The Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust (FTCT) is delighted to announce a brand new charity partnership with the Commercial laundry business Linen Connect, part of the Swiscot Group – run by renowned entrepreneur Vikas Shah MBE.

Our Director Anna Pangbourne spoke at the National Laundry Group (NLG) conference in Slough on Wednesday, 13 March where she met several leaders from the laundry industry – including Shah and NLG Managing Director Alastair McCrae. Assembled delegates from NLG donated a fantastic £4,000 on the night.

The partnership will see Linen Connect promote FTCT throughout their company. Anna will also be visiting a number of NLG member companies, to promote the charity to employees.

Linen Connect is a key supplier of linens and textiles into commercial laundries, hospitality and institutional sectors around the UK and is deeply committed to social, ethical and environmental responsibility.

Speaking about the new partnership, Anna said: “We are incredibly grateful to Vikas and his amazing team for the enthusiasm and generosity they have already shown in such a short space of time.

“This is such a great opportunity for us to reach families in the laundry and textile services sectors and really let them know what we’re about, which is ensuring that no child from a fashion and textile family should go without essential items. I can’t wait to start our work with Vikas and Linen Connect in earnest.”

Vikas added: “The Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust is a charity that few people will fail to feel a connection to. It provides support for the most valuable part of anyone’s lives, children.

“The stories of the families they support are both heart-breaking and inspiring in equal measure, and it makes us extremely proud to say that we will be appointing FTCT as our company’s charity of choice moving forward, and encouraging our clients and suppliers to participate as much as they can in raising awareness, and supporting this incredible cause.”
