This has been an amazing 12 months for the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust. We’ve seen an unprecedented rise in demand for FTCT grants, meaning we have supported over 600 children since 1 July 2016 – that’s almost three times more children than last year!

We’re immensely proud of being able to support these children and their families. Whether with essential equipment for children with additional needs like Archie, or school uniforms for over 250 children whose parents were affected by the closure of BHS.

It has been a hugely challenging year for many families in UK fashion and textiles. Trading conditions and uncertainties in the UK have been really tough. FTCT are here to help the industry by supporting families financially. Often our grants gives families some vital breathing space during a difficult time.

FTCT Director, Anna Pangbourne

We have some new plans for next year to meet the continued demand. We are introducing new grant packages so families can select the best support for them. Whether its school wear or essential household items as well as a range of equipment for children with additional needs and sensory toys.

The categories will launch on our new website, which is in development at the moment. So watch this space.  In the meantime, to help more families we must continue to raise awareness and funds with the help of our wonderful supporters, families and friends – to whom we are always grateful.

Ways you can get involved

We have a range of volunteering opportunities at FTCT, or you can raise funds by completing a sponsored fun run or even holding a cake sale at your workplace?
