There have been some awesome fundraising achievements during this year at FTCT, none more than the efforts from a group of six students as part of a project for First Give.

The group of year eight students from the Ilford Ursuline Academy nominated FTCT as chosen charity for their submission to the First Give competition.

£250 towards the FTCT cause

The girls produced a presentation and short film about the benefits of the charity which was showed in front of their peers, teachers and selected guests, including the First Give judges.

The girls did an amazing job and came as runners up!  They won  £250  to support the FTCT cause and help us to continue helping more children and their families in the UK fashion and textile industry.

Jill attended the awards ceremony and said,

It was a fantastic morning. I felt really proud of the girls, and so grateful for their belief and support for FTCT grants. The girls had clearly worked really hard and we loved the film.

Working with the industry’s next generation

For us, the bonus of this event was having young people engaged in our charity. With over 160 years of helping families in the UK fashion and textile industry, it is vital we continue to raise awareness among the next generation of potential employees.

We are always keen to raise awareness of our charity. If you would like to support FTCT’s work, please sign up to receive our newsletters to find out more about our charity and how you can help.
