Chris told us

Whilst this all seemed very straightforward when I volunteered, it turns out 26.2 miles is a really long way, so I'd be eternally grateful if you could sponsor me and support this rather excellent charity. In doing so you'll help to incentivise my act of cardiovascular madness.

About the Fashion & Textile Children's Trust

We believe no fashion or textile family should struggle financially to meet their child's basic needs. It's why our charity was founded back in 1853.

We provide financial grants to children of UK fashion and textile families who are experiencing financial hardship. By funding essential items such as school uniform, bedding and clothing, we help hundreds of children every year.

Our work is more relevant than ever. Applications for our grants have tripled over the last year, with more requests for essential items including clothing.

Meet some of the families we have helped

An average grant starts at £250 per child, helping to buy school uniform, winter clothing and shoes for one child. As an industry, we need to help those being left behind. It’s our industry – let’s support each other, together.
