Sadly we can only help people who work or have recently worked (within the last 9 years) in the UK fashion and textile industry.

Download this info sheet or read on below for examples of what we mean by fashion and textiles.

What do we mean by fashion and textiles?

We define fashion and textiles as any UK business which sells, makes or designs clothing or fabrics. This includes leather footwear, soft furnishings (such as sofas) and interior textiles, such as curtains.

You can work in any aspect of the UK fashion and textile industry, from shop floor, to factory, design studio to head office. However, sadly this does not include related industries such as beauty, hairdressing, styling or photography.

If you’re not sure you work in fashion or textiles please check this list of companies and job titles which fit our criteria, to see if you’re current or recent job is listed.

Don't work in fashion and textiles, what next?

If you have never worked in UK fashion and textiles, unfortunately we won't be the right charity for your family. But why not check this list of other charities who might be able to help

If you're not sure your job qualifies as fashion and textiles please contact our grants team for further advice.

Even if we're not the right charity for you, you might know another family who works in fashion and textiles. Please share our details using the links below and help us to help more UK children.
