Supporting families during the pandemic

During the turmoil of the Covid pandemic our services were a key lifeline for many parents. The economic uncertainty, strain of furlough, loss of self employment and huge swathes of redundancies took their toll on industry families and saw demand for our grants triple.

Here is a short video explaining how we have supported families throughout the pandemic.

How our grants have supported fashion and textile families during the pandemic

Between April 2020- April 2021 our grants supported the health and wellbeing of more than 1000 children. Families were give an average of £500 for each child who needed a grant, helping them to provide childhood essentials like clothing, school uniform, study tech, bedroom furniture and more.

What families said about their grants, one year later

We have been speaking to some of the parents who applied to us last April, just as the pandemic was unfolding. It's been so lovely to hear how the items their grants bought are still helping and supporting their child's everyday life.
