Our grants provide essential items for children of UK fashion and textile employees who are struggling financially. It's why our charity was founded back in 1853.

  • Any other independently owned clothing stores

If you or your partner has worked in any of the above mentioned businesses, for at least one year, within the last nine years, you may be able to apply. Please read on, to find out more about our grants.

How we can help your family

If your store has been closed and the impact of the fire will affect your earnings, we may be able to help.

Our grants can help to fund essential items for your children such as school uniform and clothing for the year ahead, or essential household items.

You might want to apply if you have been affected in any of the following ways:

  • Your store has been closed
  • You have not been offered a transfer to another store
  • You have been transferred to another store, but your hours have been reduced
  • You have been transferred to another store and are facing significantly increased travel costs

Please note: we typically help families who do not have access to savings.

If you work in one of the above mentioned stores and any of these situations are causing you financial difficulties, please click through to the next step and see what we can fund.

Don't work for any of the listed companies? What next?

If you work for any of the other affected retailers, we unfortunately won't be the right charity for you. However, there are some other charities, who might be able to help you.

Turn2 Us: This is a UK charity which helps to match individuals with funding.
Retail Trust: A charity which supports all retail workers.
Grocery Aid: a charity which supports UK grocery workers.
