Yesterday was a huge day for the team here at FTCT. Our first fundraising event of the Autumn, the Drapers Independent Awards saw us raise £3,200 to support our work.

Guests included companies from across the UK and Ireland’s Independent Fashion Retail Industry. As charity partner for the event, we hosted a charity raffle with three luxury prizes, generously donated by our sponsors Waitrose, LK Bennett and Firmdale Hotels.

Our volunteers Marianna, Clara and Sophie are pictured smiling, standing next to raffle winners Popsy Clothing.

Our incredible volunteers, Marianna, Clara and Sophie (pictured above with raffle winners Popsy Clothing) gave their time to host a ping pong champagne draw and sell raffle tickets to guests at their table. It was non-stop for the three hour event and we couldn't have done it without them.

Here at the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust we believe that every child should have the chance to thrive. With the rising cost of living creating even more worry for parents, grant enquiries have doubled in the last two months.

The money raised at yesterday's event will immediately be put towards buying life changing items for children this winter. From bedding to warm coats, washing machines to therapy. We hope all the raffle winners enjoy their prizes and thank everyone else for their huge generosity.

We would also like to mention a huge thank you to Drapers editor Jill Geoghegan and her team for their ongoing support. It is a huge honor to be Drapers' charity partner and we are already excited to be back at the Drapers Main Awards in November.
