Our grants fund essential items for the children of UK fashion and textile families who are struggling financially.  It's why our charity was founded back in 1853.

Who can apply?

To apply for one of our grants, you must fit the criteria points below:

  • You work or have previously worked in the UK fashion and textile industry for at least one year, within the last nine years. This work must have been paid. Find out more about our trade criteria below.

  • Your children are aged between 0-18 years.

  • You are facing financial difficulty such as debt or arrears on your household bills or are facing a sudden change of circumstances at home which impacts your income.

No two families are the same and each request is assessed on a case by case basis based on the individual needs of your child. As a guide, here are some examples of the items our grants can typically fund:
