“Now Mia can do her homework on the laptop which has helped tons. The whole process of applying was very easy from start to finish.”

Joy is Mum to Mia 14 and Jonah 5. She works at the John Lewis Partnership. Here Joy shares her story of applying for an Back To School grant with the FTCT.

“I’m a single mum. At the time of applying I was working less hours and had debts to pay off. With the rising cost of logo school uniform I turned to the FTCT for help.”

“When I contacted the FTCT, I needed a laptop for my daughter and school shoes and uniform for both.”

These items were so important to both my children’s wellbeing, but especially for my daughter. She really needed a laptop to do her homework. We didn’t have a computer at home and she is still young, so I didn’t want her to be travelling on her own to the library every time she needed to get online to do her work.”

“Now Mia can do her homework on the laptop which has helped tons. The whole process of applying was very easy from start to finish.”

“To any other parent thinking of applying for an FTCT grant, I would say please apply.”
