How volunteers help FTCT

Pictured above left to right: Vanessa Green (Trustee), Andy Ware (Former Trustee), Meg Lustman (Former Chair), David Shepherd (Trustee).

Here are just some of the things volunteers have helped us achieve this year.

Our Trustees- helping our grants reach more children

Aside from their regular governance duties and the huge amount of time and commitment they give to the charity, our Trustees (pictured above at a fundraising event) have helped our team to triple the number of families receiving FTCT grants.

By introducing us to their CEO’S, HR colleagues and professional networks,  more families in more fashion and textile companies including M&S, Karen Millen and Allied Textiles are now aware of and applying for FTCT grants.

Here is a list of our Trustees.

Fundraising volunteers -raising over £30,000 for FTCT grants

Our volunteers helped to raise a whopping £30,000 for FTCT grants this year in a whole host of ways.  Some of our volunteers, like FRA students helped at our fundraising events including the Drapers Awards and Textile Forum.  While others organised their own fashion shows at their school or college.
Some very energetic volunteers like Hobbs London team got into fancy dress for our sponsored Santa and Super Hero runs, holding bake sales, and cinema nights to raise sponsorship money.

We couldn’t have achieved any of this without the time, energy and enthusiasm of our volunteers. We are incredibly grateful for their continued support; enabling FTCT grants can help many more children of UK fashion and textile families.
