We are thrilled to announce four new additions to our Board of Trustees, now comprising 11 members in total. Each brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to our cause. Join us in welcoming these exceptional leaders who will play pivotal roles in helping FTCT create a greater impact and outreach within the fashion and textile industry.

Phil Cooke, Chief Product and Brand Officer

“I feel really honoured and really privileged to be able to become a Trustee of this particular charity as the work that it already does on a day-to-day basis is directly connected to the fashion and textile industry within the UK, helping families and their children that are in some difficult circumstances.”

Ann Campbell, Head of Communications at Cotton Connect

“It seems to me astonishing and terrible that in the 21st century, in a rich, western country, we still have working families who are struggling, and what I really want to do as a Trustee is to help the organisation reach more of those families, show them there’s a lifeline, reach more retailers, and encourage them to support. If I can do that, I’ll be feeling very happy.”

Andrew Woodward, Non-exec & Board Advisor

“Having been in the industry for a long, long time, I've seen lots of ups and downs, and the pace of change has always been there, but it's never been quite as intense as this moment. With change obviously comes disruption and restructuring, and many people who work in this industry are struggling at the moment with the cost of living crisis, with a lot of corporate restructuring and the impact that has on them and of course on their families. My motivation in joining the Trust now is to help raise awareness of the work that it does and to help raise more funds to help.”

Alia Gerar, Head of Ecosystems at Rethink X

“What motivated me to become a Trustee of FTCT was a combination of the personal and the professional. So on an emotional level, like most people, I've been absolutely horrified by the UK's cost of living crisis and the effect that it's had on the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in our society, and the work of FTCT is a lifeline for thousands of families, so having the opportunity to support that however I could was incredibly exciting. On a professional level, I've got to the point in my career where I've been so keen to give back and use the skills that I've built up with my career and to find an organisation which has just the perfect convergence of factors that I really care about with an extraordinary team, an extraordinary CEO, a wonderful board–it was just a dream come true.”
