Our therapy grants can provide funding for a wide range of therapies to support a child's physical health, mental wellbeing and learning needs, including:

  • Speech and language therapy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Psychotherapy (e.g.talking therapies or counselling)
  • Play therapy
  • Art therapy
  • Music therapy

To apply for an FTCT grant, one parent must work OR have recently worked in the UK fashion and textile industry, for at least one year within the last nine years.

This means even if you no longer work for a fashion or textile employer, you could still apply.

If you're sure you have never worked in UK fashion or textiles, unfortunately we won't be the right charity for you. Try this list of other charities who might be able to help your family.  


Therapies we fund  

Our therapy grants are designed to support children facing the following situations:

  • Psychological issues
  • Additional needs
  • Trauma recover (e.g. abuse, bereavement)
  • Physical difficulties
  • Learning difficulties
  • Hearing impairment
  • Speech and Language delay
  • Global delay
  • Mobility Issues
  • Behavioural difficulties
  • Ongoing health needs, e.g. eating disorders

All applications for therapy grants need to be accompanied by a supporting letter or recent health assessment (within the past 6 months) from a UK health or social professional employed by a statutory organisation (NHS or local authority).

This would normally be from a Nurse, Doctor, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Family Health Visitor/Worker or Social Worker. 

In the first instance, supporting letters will not be accepted from the practitioner who will be employed to conduct the therapy, due to potential conflicts of interest.
