Our grants are here to support families when they are struggling financially and can't afford to buy essential items for their children, such as clothing, bedding and essential household items.

If you're feeling a bit nervous or uncomfortable about applying, try not to worry. This can happen to any family.

No two cases are the same, but parents who apply to us are usually facing one of the following situations:

• You are in arrears with your household bills, have debt issues or have no access to savings
• You are caring for a child with ill health or additional needs. Read about our grants for specialist equipment and therapy. 
• You have been made redundant
• Your employer has reduced your contracted hours of work
• You have recently suffered a relationship breakdown, separation or divorce 
• You are signed off work sick or have a long term illness. Read about our grants for parents who are ill.
• You are facing homelessness or have recently had to move home. Read about our rehousing grants.
• You are a kinship carer. Read about our grants for kinship carers. 
• You have suffered the bereavement of a close family member
